Qatar's Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and Defence Minister Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah, along with their US counterparts - Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin - spoke to the media in Doha on Tuesday in a joint news conference on the situation in Afghanistan.
The US top officials talked about the evacuation of Americans and Afghans from Afghanistan and other regional issues.
Blinken and Austin thanked Qatar for its efforts in the transit of tens of thousands of people evacuated from Afghanistan after the Taliban took control of Kabul on August 15.
