Bihar Election 2020: High Voter Turnout In Maoist-Affected Barachatti Despite Covid

Bihar Election 2020: Seventy-three per cent polling was recorded in a booth at Bihar’s Maoist-affected Barachatti Assembly seat, where 380 of the 521 registered voters had cast their ballot till noon. The voting percentage here was higher than the 33 per cent average turnout in Bihar recorded till 1 PM. Election Commission officials said they expect more people to turn up by the end of day – 6 PM. Manish Kumar reports on Bihar Elections day 1, when voting is happening for 71 of the 243 seats amid the coronavirus pandemic.
