Biggest rail strike in three decades

Many rail services are shutting down across England, Scotland and Wales, as the biggest rail strike in three decades approaches.

Talks between Unions and Rail bosses broke down earlier, leading to acrimonious exchanges between the RMT and the Government, each blaming the other.

People are being urged not to travel by train, unless they have to.
