U.S. President Joe Biden addressed the media on Saturday after shots rang out at a rally for Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Biden said he had been briefed on the events and had reached out to the former president. He said Trump was with his doctors and is reportedly “doing well.”

“There’s no place in America for this kind of violence. It’s sick,” Biden said.
“It’s one of the reasons why we have to unite this country. We cannot allow for this to be happening. We cannot be like this; we cannot condone this.”

Biden said he did not yet have details about whether anyone in the crowd was injured, but according to a source speaking to CNN two people are reportedly dead, including the shooter.
