Biden at COP27: 'Let's take the future in our hands'

Joe Biden seeks to inject some momentum into the COP27 climate talks hot off the heels of better than expected midterm election results.

Mr Biden said that it was time for delegates to "reach out and take the future in our hands", to raucous approval from leaders there.

But in the background was fear from scientists that too many nations are dragging their heels on climate protection, becoming less committed to limiting average temperatures rises to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
