As concerns grow over Russian troops gathering near Ukraine, U.S. President Joe Biden held a rare two-hour meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin over the matter.

American officials described the meeting as "direct and straightforward, with no finger-wagging." It comes as Russia amasses an estimated 100,000 troops near the Ukraine border, along with tanks and artillery.

U.S. intelligence believes Putin could be preparing to launch a full-blown invasion as early as January.
