U.S. President Joe Biden is facing renewed scrutiny about his age, a day after being cleared by the U.S. Justice Department in its investigation into his mishandling of classified documents.

Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report offered a scathing assessment of Biden’s mental acuity, calling him a “well-meaning, elderly man… with a poor memory.”

Biden and White House counsel pushed back against the assessment, calling it “gratuitous.”
