A judge investigating the Beirut port explosion in Lebanon in 2020 has been summoned by Lebanon's top prosecutor.
Tarek Bitar has been charged with mishandling the inquiry, but is refusing to step down. Many are supporting Bitar because he has done the unthinkable in post-civil war Lebanon: He has gone after high-ranking officials in his investigation of one of the largest non-atomic explosions in human history.
Meanwhile, people angered by the slow pace of the investigation protested at the Palace of Justice.
Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut, Lebanon.
