BC floods: Feds say over 500 military personnel helping with resupply missions, food delivery | FULL

Canadian federal ministers provided an update on Sunday on the ongoing operations of road and supply chain restoration in the province of British Columbia after it was hit with floods and mudslides.

Federal Minister of Border Security Bill Blair said that he spoke with B.C.’s Minister of Public Safety Mike Farnworth on border community residents travelling to the U.S. to fill their vehicles and buy essential goods.

He said he believes that accommodation can be made for these people to be exempt from the negative PCR test requirement upon re-entry to Canada.

Minister of National Defence Anita Anand provided an update on the Canadian Armed Forces operations and said there is currently over 500 military personnel in B.C. helping with resupply missions and food delivery.

Minister of Transportation Omar Alghabra said that a supply chain working group has been established to work with the province and service providers to ensure essential goods and services are delivered.
