As many as 1,804 #Rohingya refugees were moved to the remote Bangladeshi island of Bhasan Char from Chattogram on Tuesday by five Bangladeshi navy ships.
There are fears from rights groups that some refugees were coerced into making the trip to the flood-prone island where accommodation has been built in order to decongest the current refugee camps in Cox's Bazaar.
It is estimated that around one million Rohingya are in refugee camps in Bangladesh after fleeing persecution in Myanmar's military clampdown in 2017. #Bangladesh aims to eventually relocate 100,000 refugees to the island.
