Bangladesh is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its victory over Pakistan on Thursday.
Its fight for independence was won after nine months of war with the surrender of the Pakistani army on December 16, 1971.
The government estimates around three million people were killed in the conflict.
Fifty years later, the country now wants to tell the world about its progress and development.
