A week-long nationwide mass vaccination campaign is under way in Bangladesh.
The government aims to inoculate more than three million people against COVID-19.
It comes as the country grapples with a major surge in Delta cases, which has led to an extended lockdown.
The government and health experts are hoping the latest lockdown and an urgent effort to get people vaccinated will spare Bangladesh from a major health disaster.
Only three percent of the population of 165 million has been fully vaccinated.
