The big winner at the BAFTAs was a German language epic movie about the First World War.

"All Quiet on the Western Front" won both best picture - and best film, not in the English language.

The Banshees of Inisherin did well despite Colin Farrell losing out at best actor, wining best British movie even though its cast and crew were largely Irish.
