अतीक अहमद की पत्नी का कहना है कि उमेश पाल के मर्डर के बाद से ही उनके दोनों नाबालिग़ बेटे गायब हैं। वहीं समाजवादी पार्टी के नेता रामगोपाल यादव ने आशंका जताई है कि पुलिस जल्द ही अतीक अहमद के एक नाबालिग बेटे के एनकाउंटर में मार सकती है। वहीं पुलिस का कहना है कि अतीक के दोनों नाबालिग़ बेटे बाल सुधार गृह में हैं।
