Uttar Pradesh के हर ज़िले में चैत्र नवरात्रि के दौरान दुर्गा सप्तशती और रामायण पाठ करवाने पर राज्य सरकार 1-1 लाख रुपये देगी. योगी सरकार का धार्मिक ऐलान जारी होते ही सियासी घमासान मच गया. विपक्ष ने इस प्लान के खिलाफ मोर्चा भी खोल दिया.
