Australians are being asked to decide whether to amend their constitution in an historic referendum. The question? Whether or not to recognise the country's original inhabitants and establish a body to advise parliament on issues that concern the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population.

Some say 'The Voice' referendum is a symbolic gesture that won't offer real change if successful, others have campaigned that it's a 'once in a generation opportunity for recognition'.
