Atlantic sargassum belt: Seaweed bloom affecting coast of Florida

Each year, a bloom of seaweed develops off the central coast of Africa and surges westward.
Fueled by river runoff, it eventually makes its way to the Caribbean and the coast of the Americas.
But scientists say piles of the decomposing algae has high levels of flesh-eating bacteria.
