At least 157 people have been killed after an earthquake struck a remote part of western Nepal.
Security forces have been sent to the rugged districts of Jajarkot and West Rukum, 500km (310 miles) west of Kathmandu, to help with the rescue efforts.
An army spokesman said more than 100 people have been injured, while Jajarkot's hospital is understood to be full of those who are wounded.
Strong tremors were also felt far away in the Nepalese capital and in cities in neighbouring India, including Delhi.
