Humans are closer than ever to visiting Mars.
That is according to scientists from around the world who have gathered at a summit in Washington, DC.
They are trying to inject a sense of urgency into the mission, saying a gravitational slingshot in 2033 would shorten a round-trip journey from two and a half years to 18 months.
