Clashes between Israeli police and those mourning slain Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh on Friday, with footage capturing a nearly horrifying moment in which mourners carrying her coffin stumble, nearly dropping her to the ground.

The dispute was in part due to police wanting them to use a hearse to transport her, while the crowd wanted to walk.

But even as mourners gathered, questions remain on what’s next in the investigation into her death. Israeli officials claim it’s impossible to know who fired the shot without examining the fatal bullet, suggesting a joint investigation, a request rejected outright by Palestinians.
