जमीयत उलेमा-ए-हिंद (Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind) के अध्यक्ष सैयद अरशद मदनी ने रविवार (21 मई) को बजरंग दल पर प्रतिबंध लगाने के मुद्दे पर बड़ा बयान दिया. मदनी ने मुंबई में कहा कि कांग्रेस (Congress) पार्टी ने अपने घोषणा पत्र में फिरका-परस्त की जमात बजरंग दल (Bajrang Dal) को बंद करने की बात कही थी. अगर उन्होंने यह फैसला 70 साल पहले लिया होता तो मुल्क बर्बाद न होता.सैयद अरशद मदनी ने कहा कि उन्होंने ऐसा कहा तो इस पर शोर मच रहा था कि कांग्रेस ने अपने घोषणा पत्र में इसे दाखिल कर गलती की. मैं समझ था कि गलती नहीं बल्कि अपनी गलती का तदारुक किया जा रहा है. गौरतलब है कि कांग्रेस ने हाल ही में संपन्न हुए कर्नाटक विधानसभा चुनाव के अपने घोषणा पत्र में पॉपुलर फ्रंट ऑफ इंडिया और बजरंग दल जैसे संगठनों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने की बात कही थी.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind President Syed Arshad Madani on Sunday (May 21) gave a big statement on the issue of banning Bajrang Dal. Madani said in Mumbai that the Congress party in its manifesto had talked about shutting down Bajrang Dal, a sectarian group. If he had taken this decision 70 years ago, the country would not have been ruined. Syed Arshad Madani said that when he said this, there was hue and cry that the Congress made a mistake by including it in its manifesto. I understood that it is not my mistake but my mistake that is being rectified. It is worth mentioning that in its manifesto for the recently concluded Karnataka assembly elections, the Congress had talked about taking action against organizations like Popular Front of India and Bajrang Dal.
