Armed gangs launch new attacks in Haiti

Armed gangs launched new attacks in the suburbs of Port-au-Prince early Wednesday, with heavy gunfire echoing across once-peaceful communities near the Haitian capital.

Millions of people have been put at risk of tipping into starvation and famine as ports into the country have been closed.

Now, Americans trapped in Haiti are urging the U.S. government to help get them out of the country amid the ongoing turmoil. ABC News' Matt Rivers is in Port-au-Prince with the latest.
