Tourists found themselves stranded in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Wednesday due to a national aeronautic union strike that led to hundreds of flight cancellations.
Three unions called a 24-hour strike after failing to reach a pay rise agreement with the government as inflation hit 20.6 per cent in January and the annual rate reached 254.3 per cent.
Airline Aerolineas Argentinas cancelled 331 flights, affecting nearly 24,000 passengers.
Tourists from the United States said they planned to visit the Iguazu Falls on Wednesday when they found their flights were cancelled with no more information and no other alternative route.
