An investigation is under way in Argentina, where at least 24 people have died after ingesting cocaine that was mixed with an unknown toxic substance - more than 80 people are in hospital.

Authorities are looking into who laced the drug and why.

Among the lines of inquiry is whether drug gangs spiked batches of a rival's cocaine, to weaken competition.
