Are we witnessing the death of democracy in Hong Kong?

For some, the recent conviction of 14 activists using new national security laws represented the final nail in the coffin.

Among them, two British judges who just quit their roles from Hong Kong's top appeals court.

One of them is the former Supreme Court Judge, Lord Sumption.

He's suggested that China's increasing influence has profoundly compromised the rule of law.
