Major US companies including Apple, Disney and IBM have pulled advertising from X, formerly Twitter, amid a row over Elon Musk's alleged endorsement of an antisemitic post.

Mr Musk responded to a post on X which falsely claimed Jewish people were stoking hatred against white people, saying the user was speaking "the actual truth".

The Tesla owner's comment was met with a stinging rebuke from the White House.
