The port of Antwerp in Belgium has become the number-one gateway for Latin American cocaine destined for Europe. The trade is controlled by powerful international gangs and comes with high levels of violence and corruption.
The problem is so acute that Antwerp’s mayor is calling for the army to be deployed.
