Despite opposition from various quarters, the Karnataka cabinet today tabled the controversial anti-conversion Bill, which stipulates a punishment of up to 10 years in jail. Moreover, the state revenue minister said any conversion is illegal. With the Congress' DK Shivakumar tearing a copy of the Bill in the assembly, the controversy is far from over.
