गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कल लोकसभा में भारतीय न्याय संहिता विधेयक 2023 और भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता विधेयक पेश किया.. जिसके बाद देश के दुश्मन लिए दुनिया के किसी भी कोने में छिप जाएं.. पर वो बच नहीं पाएंगे. नए क़ानून के मुताबिक देश के भगोडों के ख़िलाफ़ देश में ही केस चलेगा.. ट्रायल होगी और सज़ा भी सुनाई जाएगी.. जबकि पहले ऐसा नहीं होता था.. क्योंकि पहले केस चलता था.. कुर्की होती थी.. संपत्तियां जब्त कर ली जाती थी.. लेकिन अपराधी की गैरमौजूदगी में सज़ा सुनाने का प्रावधान नहीं था लेकिन नए विधेयक को देश के सामने पेश करते हुए इशारों में अमित शाह ने दाऊद इब्राहिम, नीरव मोदी और विजय माल्या जैसे भगोड़ों पर सरकार की मंशा साफ़ कर दी. शाह ने कहा, केस के दौरान आरोपियों के ख़िलाफ़ सेशन कोर्ट के जज तय प्रक्रिया के तहत पहले आरोपी को भगोड़ा घोषित करेंगे..

But there was no provision for sentencing in the absence of the criminal, but while presenting the new bill in front of the country, Amit Shah made clear the government's intention against fugitives like Dawood Ibrahim, Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya. Shah said, during the case against the accused, the session court judge will first declare the accused a fugitive as per the prescribed procedure.
