Haiti has a new Prime Minister after two weeks of uncertainty following the assassination of its president.
The death of Jovenel Moise led to a power struggle.
Now, following international pressure, Ariel Henry has emerged as the troubled nation’s new leader.
The 71-year-old neurosurgeon and former cabinet minister says he plans to meet representatives of various sectors of society in the coming days to build a political consensus to address the problems Haiti faces.
Acting Prime Minister Claude Joseph first appeared to be in charge following the brazen attack on Moise but has since stepped aside to allow Henry to take the reins.
