Albania’s parliament has voted to impeach President Ilir Meta, saying he has failed to remain politically neutral.
The president's role is considered largely ceremonial but Meta has regularly clashed with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
If the constitutional court removes Meta, Parliament must elect a new president - if it does not, Albania will have a prime minister and a president who are at war.
Al Jazeera’s John Psaropoulos reports from Tirana, Albania.
