Alabama hospital pauses IVF treatments after court ruling on embryos

After Alabama's Supreme Court ruled frozen embryos are children under the law, the University of Alabama at Birmingham announced it is pausing in-vitro fertilization treatments, saying it 'must evaluate the potential that our patients and our physicians could be prosecuted criminally.'
