SP president Akhilesh Yadav, who had earlier said he would not take a jab as he did not trust the BJP vaccine has now taken a U-turn and announced that he would get the shot following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s statement on providing free vaccines to states. BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya targeted Mr. Yadav for his earlier comments and accused him of insulting the scientists of the country who developed the vaccine.
