अमेरिकी एंटी-वायरस कंपनी के एक अपडेट का असर माइक्रोसॉफ्ट पर पड़ा। इससे सुबह 5 बजे से रात 8 बजे तक 15 घंटे दुनियाभर की एयरलाइंस, टीवी टेलिकास्ट, बैंकिंग और कई कार्पोरेट कंपनियों का कामकाज प्रभावित हुआ। करीब 1400 फ्लाइट कैंसिल हुई हैं। ऑनलाइन सर्विसेज ठप होने से कई एयरपोर्ट पर फ्लाइट बोर्डिंग पास हाथ से लिखकर दिए गए।
