Deadly UNREST in the Solomon Islands’ capital has left at least three dead and more than 100 arrested. The protesters had been demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare after his regime cut ties with Taiwan and established a formal relationship with China. The demonstration turned UGLY, with shops being looted and buildings set alight.
