Torrential rains from Storm Elias have swept across central Greece,
damaging roads, flooding homes and causing power outages. All roads in the port city of Volos are closed. The European Union has promised emergency funding to help Greece cope with recent flooding and wildfires that caused billions of euros in damage. The Greek government has declared that adapting to climate change is a national priority.
