'Afghanistan's gone back to the dark ages,' says General Petraeus

General Petraeus, retired US Army general and former Director of the CIA told Sky News that the withdrawal of western troops from Afghanistan has taken the country back to "the dark ages."

He said the country is living under "an eighth or ninth century version of Islam" where 50% of the population is "severely restricted."

The General also went on to say that he predicts that the country's collapsed economy will see "no outside investment."
