Adidas cancels deal with Kanye West following anti-Semitic comments

Adidas has cut ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following intense pressure for the company to drop its partnership with the musician over his recent antisemitic outbursts.

On Tuesday, the brand shared a public statement claiming the company does “not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” ending their lucrative partnership with the rapper.

“Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness,” wrote Adidas.

The 45-year-old rapper and business owner had his Twitter account restricted this month after one of his tweets was removed for violating the app’s hate speech policy.
