The actor Idris Elba has told Sky News he wants an immediate ban on machetes and so-called "zombie" knives as part of a crackdown on knife crime.

Speaking to Sarah-Jane Mee at the launch of a new campaign, he said youth knife violence is an issue which affects the entire nation.
