Canadian actor Eugene Levy received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony on Friday.

"Getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is about as far from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada as you can get," Levy said.

The actor is known for his roles in SCTV, Schitt's Creek, the American Pie franchise, National Lampoon's Vacation, and more.

He received the honour alongside his family, including actor daughter Sarah Levy, and Schitt's Creek co-star Catherine O'Hara.
