Action Against Ali Ameen Gandapur | Chief Election Commissioner of AJK Media Talk

Polling for the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly has started (Sunday).

A total of 32,50,117 registered voters including 178,800 male and 146,8317 female in all 33 electoral constituencies in all ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, all 12 constituencies meant for Pakistan-based Jammu & Kashmir refugees, would exercise their right of vote to elect the Azad Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly, for next five years constitutional term.

Over 2.8 million voters have been registered in 33 Azad Jammu Kashmir constituencies and 0.4 million in 12 Jammu Kashmir refugees based in various parts of Pakistan.

The registered voters shall have to produce original computerized national identity card at the polling station at the time of exercising the right to vote.

AJK Election Commission has finalized all arrangements to hold free, fair, and transparent elections. All out security arrangements have also been made so that voters could cast their vote in a peaceful manner without any fear and pressure.

The Kashmiris living in any city of Pakistan will exercise their vote to choose their candidates on 12 constituencies meant of Jammu and Kashmir refugees settled in various parts of Pakistan.

A total of 587 candidates are contesting the elections in 33 constituencies of Azad Kashmir districts and 121 candidates on 12 constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir refugees settled in Pakistan.

Over 40 thousand security personals including PAK Army, FC, Rangers & Police will perform duties to ensure peaceful polling.

5118 polling stations have been set up in all three divisions, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, and Mirpur. Out of the total 830 polling stations are very sensitive while 1269 are sensitive.

آزاد کشمیر میں عام انتخابات کیلئے پولنگ کا آغاز ہو گیا، پولنگ کا عمل صبح آٹھ بجے شروع ہوا جو کسی وقفے کے بغیر شام پانچ بجے تک جاری رہے گا۔ اس موقع پر سکیورٹی کے سخت انتظامات کئے گئے ہیں۔

آزاد جموں و کشمیر قانون ساز اسمبلی کی آئندہ پانچ سال کی مدت کے اراکین کے انتخاب کیلئے آج بتیس لاکھ سے زائد ووٹر اپنا حق رائے دہی استعمال کریں گے۔ پی ٹی آئی، ن لیگ ،پیپلز پارٹی میں کانٹے کا مقابلہ متوقع ہے۔ آزاد کشمیر سمیت ملک کے دیگر شہرو ں میں قائم 6 ہزار 139 میں سے 826 پولنگ اسٹیشن انتہائی حساس اور ایک ہزار 209 پولنگ اسٹیشن حساس قرار دیئے گئے ہیں، انتخابی عمل کے دوران حساس پولنگ اسٹیشنوں پر فوج تعینات ہے، 40 ہزار پولیس اہلکار بھی الیکشن ڈیوٹی انجام دے رہے ہیں۔

آزاد کشمیر کے اضلاع میں تینتیس اور پاکستان کے مختلف علاقوں میں مقیم جموں و کشمیر کے پناہ گزینوں کے بارہ حلقوں سمیت کل پینتالیس نشستوں پر انتخابات ہو رہے ہیں۔آٹھ مخصوص نشستوں کیلئے انتخابی شیڈول کا اعلان عام انتخابات کے بعد کیا جائے گا۔

چیف الیکشن کمشنر آزاد کشمیر عبدالرشید سلہریا نے نیوز بریفنگ کے دوران کہا کہ ٹرن آوٹ 56 فیصد سے زائد رہنے کا امکان ہے، انتخابات کیلئے حکومت نے مکمل معاونت کی، آزاد کشمیر کے عوام اپنا حق رائے دہی ضرور استعمال کریں، انتخابات کیلئے بہترین انتظامات کئے گئے ہیں۔ ایک سوال کے جواب میں عبدالرشید سلہریا نے کہا کہ علی امین گنڈا پور کے خلاف کارروائی ہو رہی ہے۔

انتخابات کے دوران ہنگامہ آرائی کے بھی اکا دکا واقعات ہوئے۔ ایل اے 25 نیلم ون کے حساس ترین پولنگ اسٹیشن نمبر 53 پر ہنگامہ آرائی کے دوران ن لیگ اور تحریک انصا ف کے ایجنٹوں کی جانب سے ووٹر سلپ پھاڑ دی گئیں، پولنگ آفیسر کی جانب سے پولنگ کے عمل روک دیا گیا۔
