Sticking kids into “cabbage science” and “cabbage maths” is “hugely damaging” to Māori and Pasifika students and needs to stop, say a group of researchers.

“We can't afford to continue a practice we know creates racial inequity. Which, to be blunt, means it's a racist practice,” Tokona te Raki Executive Director Dr Eruera Tarena told TVNZ Breakfast.
