Abby Choi's family, friends gather to mourn slain Hong Kong model

Family and friends of slain Hong Kong-based model Abby Choi gathered at the alleged scene of the crime on Tuesday to mourn her death.

As family and friends comforted each other, Taoist priests conducted a traditional ritual at the scene.

An ex-husband of Choi and three of his relatives were charged on Sunday in connection to her grisly death, the charges coming only days after several dismembered body parts believed to belong to Choi were discovered by police.

Alex Kwong, 28, his brother Anthony, 31, and his father Kwong Kau, 65, have been charged with murder, according to the Hong Kong public broadcaster RTHK. Kwong’s mother was charged with perverting the course of justice.

Officers conducted a search of a nearby landfill on Tuesday where police believe “bags of important evidence” may have been left, including possible body parts and the murder weapon.
