A New Variant Of Concern: Is It More Dangerous?

The World Health Organization has declared the B.1.1.529 a variant of concern and renamed it Omicron. As the concern grows, several nations have banned flight resulting in plunging of global stock markets and oil prices. As per the WHO this variant has a large number of mutations and some of which are concerning. Preliminary evidence suggests an increased risk of reinfection with this variant, it said.
