India and the US have announced a series of weapons, trade and immigration agreements as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Washington.
Addressing the US Congress, Modi said that bilateral ties will be a defining partnership of this century.
Speaking to reporters, he rejected accusations of promoting religious discrimination and US legislators largely brushed off calls from human rights activists and critics to ignore Modi's visit.
