The Cabinet Committee on Security Affairs today approved the purchase of 83 Tejas aircraft at a cost of about Rs 48,000 crore. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that this decision was taken in the CCS meeting chaired by PM Modi. The deal will be a game-changer for self-reliance in the Indian defense manufacturing sector.
