Multiple people were shot early Sunday morning in Sacramento, Calif. The Sacramento Police Department said six people are dead and at least twelve others were injured in the shooting.

The area is packed with restaurants and bars that leads to the Golden One Center, where the Sacramento Kings play basketball.

Sacramento Police Chief Kathy Lester said "about two o'clock in the morning, this morning our officers were here in the area of 10th and K when they heard shots being fired. They responded to the scene behind me and found a large crowd. They found that multiple unfortunately had been shot and this is a really tragic situation. So, now we have confirmed that we had six people killed in the area of 10th and K, an additional ten were transported or self-transported to area hospitals.”
