The union government is on a yoga promotion drive across the country ahead of the International Day of Yoga. At Kanniyakumari in Tamil Nadu, more than 500 dairy farmers, students and fishermen participated in a yoga awareness programme jointly organised by the Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying Ministries of the centre and state.
