At least two people were killed and one wounded in a knife attack at the Ismaili Centre in Lisbon, Portugal on Tuesday, Portuguese police and a Muslim community leader said.
Officers shot the attacker after he refused to lay down his weapon and approached them with a large knife. He was arrested and taken to hospital.
Prime Minister António Costa told reporters everything indicated that it was an isolated act, and it was premature to make any interpretation about the crime.
