Mumbai has remained a Covid hot spot in Maharashtra during the third wave and has seen 18,000 children under the age of 19 being infected in the last 24 days. Doctors point out that the figures are higher even with less testing this time and the data may not reflect the correct number of infections. In the last two weeks, infections among children have increased and so have hospital admissions.
